Yes! We often combine diving and snorkel trips to destinations that cater for both such as Tumbatu Island or Mnemba Island excursions. On the double dive trips, while the divers enjoy two different dive sites, the snorkelers can also enjoy snorkeling in two separate locations spending up to two hours or longer in the water! Single dive trips are also available for those not wanting to be out so long.

Like any active sport there is elements of risks, which is why taking professional scuba training and getting properly certified is important. Proper training greatly reduces the elements of risk.

Certification

No, your certification will not expire. As an PADI Open Water Diver, your certification is good for life. If you do not actively participate in scuba for an extended period of time, however, it’s a good idea to refresh your skills through the PADI Re Activate class.

The most important reason to get a SCUBA certification is safety. Open water SCUBA classes start by teaching you the basic skills and knowledge that will be integral to your entire dive career, whether you remain at the beginner level or continue to advance your education.

Eagle Ray Divers Zanzibar offers the E-learning option if you wish to study the theory part at your own pace before your holiday. You will have to complete the knowledge development portion of the chosen course on your own, either online or after downloading it. This is a great option if you want to save time during your holiday and just focus on the practical part with our instructors, once at our diving center
